British Guitarist and vocalist Dave Holmes is a versatile musician who has performed all around Europe and Brazil with his eclectic set of authentic sounding Bossa Nova, English / American covers and originals, effortlessly traversing styles with Brazilian nuances and feel.
He also is a Percussionist with plenty of experience performing with the UK Samba scene at fetes, festivals and corporate events and is involved in Electronic music, producing for and directing the international group Cosmic Core, under the pseudonym Damon Breakz. They have released 6 albums to date.
Dave is currently working on an EP of Brazilian style original music and his original album of soulful folky songs entitled 'Earth & Stone', which has been recorded in UK, Portugal and Brazil. Each track is being released as a single until the whole album is complete, at which point it will be available as an album. He has released an acoustic album of some of the songs , called the Area 18 Sessions.
Dave is also preparing for shows in UK and he sometimes can be found livestreaming on many of the major platforms, such as YouTube and Twitch.

Dave's Musical Path Over The Years
Dave Holmes is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer and music tutor from the UK, specialising in Brazilian Bossa Nova and electronic music, also performing Samba percussion within the UK Samba community in groups such as Toque Tambor, Nova Guarda and Ziriguidum.
He is also the Managing Director of Soul Tonic involved in projects across arts, culture and entertainment.
Dave studied BTec Popular Music and Sound Recording at Chichester College of Arts, Science and Technology in the late 90s, followed later by Foundation and Advanced Audio studies at the renowned London audio college, Alchemea.
Brazilian Music
Dave released 2 well received Bossa Nova demos in 2014 www.BornToBossa.com with reviews and interviews by websites and radio in UK, Holland, Peru, Jamaica, Japan and USA. This eventually led to being approached with projects such as the Andrea Amorim 2016 European Tour which he produced and on which played guitar. He has since toured and worked with Andrea Amorim on other Tours and projects around the world.

Under the alias Damon Breakz he has directed the Cosmic Core international electronic music project, featuring many artists and producers from around the globe, including top NZ DJ/producer Tom Cosm whose forum the Cosmic Core crew use.
Dave's own music
Using computers, his voice and instruments he writes and produces tracks in his home studio, creating warm, downbeat, groove-driven soundscapes, as well as ground-shaking, crowd-moving tracks with vocals, guitars, beats, blips and basslines, drawing from an eclectic mix of styles.
